Is it possible to stop LSP's from rebooting during scheduled maintenance?
Many thanks

CAUTION:
Changing maintenance in the main so it does not update the LSPs will stop the LSP from rebooting nightly.
This could cause a huge problem if your LSP takes over 6 months later and it does not have translations that match the main server.
Design intent is that LSP / ESS servers reboot CM at least daily with the translations that match the Main server.

Will doing manual "save trans all" get round that?

manual "save trans all" does a save on the main active and standby, then does file sync to all ESS / LSP servers and when the file sync data is received at the ESS / LSP servers, CM is rebooted as part of the file sync post process by design.

Thanks AvayaTier3, I was hoping for to get round this some how as there are time issues between the main server and the LSP.

I take it a "save trans lsp" does the same?

If it is only CM that is rebooted, are the modules, such as a DS1, affected?

The media-gateway packs and the linux server (s8300) are not affected by CM rebooting with current translations.
