Scheduled Backups are not performed

I am running Backup Exec ver 8.50 build 3572 on a Windows 2000 box. Up until Friday April 23, 2004 the backups have been performing fine.

Since Monday they just stopped! It tells me the job is scheduled for 10:00 PM but the next morning it never started. It still says job is scheduled not "Loading media...".

Can anybody help me!

Check the media tab - make sure the server isn't paused.

Also make sure all the BE services are started.

Try to check media overwrite protection.
Under Tool menu select Options -> Media Overwrite tab
make sure you select none.
Important: right click on scheduled job and select Edit Job
click on Advanced tab and make sure Eject Media After Job Complete selected. Otherwise you will overwrite previous backup if you forget switch the tape.

Another scenario you can create new backup job from scrach and see if this fix the problem
