SCH3140 Cannot copy TN

After we 've upgaraded to 25.21 I've got more problems with the errror SCH3140:
"Set-type of the new TN does not match with the set-type of the corresponding voice/data TN"

How can I avoid this ? It's much easier for me to copy TN than to make a new

if you do cpy 1, type 2616 then type the tn of a 2008, you'll get that response. is this the case or are you getting that sch when you copy 16 to 16?

When copying from 3903 to 3903

do you have any bfs keys? that can block a cpy command. the 3903 is not supported pre 25.40. that may be blocking your copy. eihter that or a missing patch

So what you're saying is that I have to patch up the line before copying to it?

nope, your switch rls software does not have the code to do that copy. nortel has written a patch that fixes that. contact nortel or a vendor for that patch. the patch is free on nortels website, if you have full access

This may be a little too simplistic, but what TN are you copying to? Is it to anything other than a standard digital line card? Is it an analog card? Is the unit number higher than 15? Does the new card have any units defined as WRLS? Etc., etc.

The answer to all qustions is "no".

The answer from my vendor is: on unit 16-31 there is dummies for web center portal and callback. The type on these have to be similar with corresponding unit on 0-15 . In other words there has to be the same type on unit 0 as it is on unit 16

that's a given, you can't copy a hard set (0-15) to a soft set (16-31).. and any set above 15 must match the station type of the physical set it's programed against. might have been faster if you have posted the code

is a dead issue, 4 0 0 16 could be copied from tn's 16 to 31 only

What I tried to do was:
cpy 1
3903
16 0 7 2
4 1 1 1

But since 4 1 1 17 is a soft set 2616, this could not be done. Then you'll get the error sch3140.

I did not try to copy from unit 1-15 onto unit 16-31
