Howdy folks,

Sorry - about my misplaced post on that other thread - I can be such a dope sometimes! - here we go-

I'm having a couple of issues with our trusty Option11. While I can't pinpoint anything yet, I suspect it started when one of our users - exchanging offices - plugged a 2008 into TN 11 12 - which happened to have old programming for a 2317. (We currently have no 2317s in house). With this in mind, here are the symptoms:

1. Continual audit messages on the order of:
AUD313 00000809 DIAL 00000000 001A7894 000008CC 00000002. They don't point to any TN in particular (that I can tell) and the first field changes frequently.

2. Display on the 2008 set was reading Model?(0) or similar

3. I tried to OUT the 2317 and received: SCH2501 (attempt to change phone in process of relocating)

I've looked at several threads and found similar items (corruption comes to mind) but I'd still very much appreciate your opinions!

Thanks in advance!

I believe I read some time back on this forum, that the newer releases no longer support 2317's and that the PBX therefore does not know how to delete it when you make that request. I think the answer was to get Avaya involved to remove it.

Hope this helps.

Hi all, thanks for your posts!

I do all the programming on the unit - but I never get in to PDT - I think I will leave that to the pros(!) I stay in LD 20 most of the time but occasionally 23, 90, 95 and maybe a couple of others.

Is the best way to initialize it just to hit the power switches inside the cabinets?

(We haven't done this in a long time - actually last time it happened, the power was off for hours due to a widespread outage. All came up fine - knock on wood!)

Thanks again for your help!

Hi Buddy - thanks for asking, I'll have to try when nobody's around - probably this weekend. Fingers definitely crossed :)

seen it before, you getting an AUD message once in a while?

If that 2317 TN is DSBL, just enable it.. should disappear

ENLU (TN#)

see if that fixes it without INI

VERY cool tip! I never thought to check its STAT. Will try next time. I did the INI - that worked great!

Thanks again all, you ROCK!
