Greetings,

I have a 3904 with a sidebar I am attempting to NULL out a key on and when I issue a KEY XX NULL I get

SCH0362

Unable to match input field with stored mnemonics.

I tried this in LD11 and LD20 just for kicks and no go. Same in easy change or normal.

I am sure I am missing something.

Thanks in Advance.

Jason

Some of the keys can't be changed on the 3000 series sets, what key number were you trying to change?

Son of a $#^&%#&%^*$&^

Yes it is nul......

Why cant swartz tell me I mistyped a command instead of saying:

"der der unable to match input field with stored mnemonics der der"

I mean I even had to go look up the word mnemonics, what the?

Man I hate overlays.

But thanks for the correction. =D

Welcome to the wonderful world of Nortel! Enjoy your stay.

don't worry, your hair will either turn white or fall out. i'm just glad we're not still on rls 6.. change disk 20 times a day, 5 minutes to chg ld's.. prt dnb in 20, prt tnb in 21, new 500 had to be in 10 stat had to be in 32.. no idu commands... nortel could put a ? help at every prompt to show you the possible commands... or you can write a script to do that, but then it's gets to easy... i know what you mean, when i started i spent more time finding the right book to look up the single code and then they didn't help most of the time... nortel should change that code to, you can't spell dude... or better yet, incorrect syntex.. old microsoft dos edit... there are a lot of switches that do all the look up for you, and use gui interface with dropdowns.. but then this switch has made me a ton of money, so i guess i'll stay on it.. i'm certified in about a dozen pbx's, this one is the toughest, but it also pays well.. and i'm glad to say that after almost 30 years i use the books maybe twice a year, so take heart, it will get a little better...
