could anyone tell me how to scan a picture box for a change in pixel colour.i have an image in black and white i want to get the program to record the positions of the changes in the colour of the pixels and so check against other images.

Point Method

Returns, as a long integer, the red-green-blue (RGB) color of the specified point on a Form or PictureBox. Doesn't support named arguments.

i thought of that but i want to record changes in black and white not RGB

Black and white are still colors. Unless there is some other requirement here that I'm missing, the Point function should do the trick.

The point function will be relatively slow. We've had discussins about image recognition and analysis (which is essentially what is being looked for here) in this forum before; a keyword search should turn up some results
