I have abig problem with print scaling that i hope someone can help me with.
I have filemaker db's created in a mac environment. When i go to print these reports running the db on a pc the reports can't be scaled correctly. On a mac platform the OS can manipulate the print driver and scale the repots accordingly. This can't be done on a pc.
All the printed reports on a PC print over at least two pages.
Any suggestions as to how i can resolve this issue willbe gratefully recieved.

Which fonts did you used in the application ?

FM has cross-platform capability and can transfere cross-platform easily, but the differences between the platforms can change the appearence of the database.

When it comes to forms that will be printed in a cross-platform environment, I always use 0.5 inch margins.
Most printers can print to within 0.25 inches of the edge of the paper, but many need 0.5 inch margins.
Because of the various printer drivers on both Win and Mac, there are no guarantees that the page will print properly if the margins are less...

An alternative that I use is to create one layout for each printer/platform and the use of the Status(CurrentPrinterName) to gather information regarding the currently selected printer (Macprinter or Winprinter).
And usualy I design all forms for A4 paper, unless this paper will never be used. Changing from A4 (non US country) to US letter is less painfull than the other way round....
