Hi All,

I have been fighting with a new SBCE for a couple of weeks now with no joy.
It is the CAD model.
I can Serial on, install the software, configure the system but I cannot for the life of me get a network connection.
If I run ip addr show I get NO CARRIER on port M1.
If I connect to a switch, laptop or anything I get no link lights, its like the hardware is disabled.
What am I doing wrong?

Thanks
Andy

Right, sorted it.

It was indeed the version, supplier sent V7.0 on a USB key which they are now crediting me for.
I had to put V7.1 on a DVD and run an external USB DVD drive to install the OS on the CAD.
So I now have an accessible and configurable SBCE.
Next job, RTFM for configuration.
Thanks as always for the help!

Merry Christmas!!!!

You can use the delivered USB Stick and put the 7.1 installation files on it.

Are you sure the USB stick is supported by Avaya if you replace the software on it? =)

>But when Matt? It is for now hardly used in some (too less) VPN solutions and for wireless LAN. Sometimes for Ethernet NAC but not too often

My understanding is that the new generation of software tools (One-X Communicator renamed) will support this - I believe that they are in advanced trial with them now!

Take Care

Matt
I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

I would like to see that. But they are still not able to use SSO with active directory (as promised for R10).

Hi Guys,

I have had exactly the same issue. 0230 server downgraded from R7.1 to R7, no cant connect to M1 etc.

I have downloaded the R7.1 for USB and ISO and made a USB and a DVD. If i restart the SBCE with either the USB or the DVD I get the Avaya message.

'Welcome to Avaya SBC for Enterprise 6.3!'

Has anyone else had this? not sure why it displays 6.3 instead of 7.1

Which file did you download?
It should be sbce-7.1.0.0-04-11122.iso

Hi Janni78,

Yes I downloaded the below:

sbce-7.1.0.0-04-11122
and
sbce-7.1.0.0-04-11122_56ad037f433edd980254e725b5518dae (for the USB)

both have same result with the 6.3 banner.
