Never seen this before. I'm creating several single sheet cover pages each with a different content and different "Save As" Title. After about 20 pages later, when I alter a cover page and save it, it alters other documents with the new change I've made. And now, if I go back to any one of those documents (each titled differently) and make a single change and save it(doesn't matter if it's "save" or "save as") it affects all other docs. Please help. It's quite frustrating.

Thank you!

I am a little confused.

If you are saving each as a separate document, what is the 20 pages later??? That sounds like they are in a single document. Could you clarify exactly what steps you are doing?

Well, I'm creating a title page and each title page is saved as a separate document. So after about 15 or so documents later, any changes I make to one document alters the other documents with the changes I made. I'm basically using one document as a template and any changes I make to it I will save it as Document 10, Document 11, etc. So for example if I were in Document 11 and make a change, I will then save it as Document 12. However, after several Documents into this, all the documents I created now gets updated with any changes I make to any one of them. They're each supposed to be completely separate documents, unlinked to each other, yet they all get affected when any change is done. I'm not sure what's caused this as I do this all the time and never run into a problem until now.

I hope this clarifies my problem. It's puzzling.

Thanks

Well, I have to think about that and try to duplicate it. However, I will say that this is not a particularly good way to go about it.

Wjy are you not using a template. they are designed exactly for this purpose. An originating structure that creates documents based on it. It, the originating structure (document) does NOT change, each "child" document created from it is totally indepentant.

But, just to make it clear to me.

1. You have a single page document.
2. It remains a single page document throughout this process.
3. You make changes to that single page document, and use SaveAs to save it as Doc2.
4. You do NOT save the first document first, therefore it is removed from memory WITHOUT those changes.
5. You make further changes, and use SaveAs to save as Doc3.

Now here is where I would like to know exactly what you are doing. Are you saving Doc2, again, before saveas as Doc3?
