Would anyone mind telling me how i can save my quark file as a pdf? (using windows) very obvious i'm sure but i can't see how to do it!! Thanks

Do you have Acrobat installed? To create a pdf, print your Quark document with 'Acrobat Distiller' selected as your printer.

if you have QuarkXpress version 5 or 6 , you click on File - Layout as pdf and it will be exported as PDF file and you can store it wherever you want

Well if ur using Quark 6 it is inbuild option to create your documents into pdf files goto file choose print .. to file or export to.. and ur file will be imported into a pdf. but in case u have quark 5 u need to have the extension Quark Acrobat Distiller extension installed uinto your extension folder.
hope this will work out

I downloaded a Generic Postscript Printer driver from Adobe (winsteng.exe), ran the file which installed it in the Settings - Printer folder. I checked the properties to make sure the port was set to Print to File. Then I Exported my quark layout to a pdf file.

Thanks so much for all the feedback! Be being stupid. I now have distiller installed and its converting them perfectly...BUT no colour! I've tried saving them both as CMYK's and RGB's both the same results!
