I want to turn off the confirm warning for deletions of records, action queries and documents inside my database. Everytime I turn them off and then close and re-open my database, the settings are back on. How can I turn them off, where they will stay off.

Thanks

You might have luck with putting this in your autoexec macro.

do you happen to be running a network version of Access? it may be that if you are, the default's for the network reappear upon your opening. I know on local installs, when you change it under the Tools=>Options menu, they stay changed.

Like HIM said, try putting in an Macro named AutoExec that uses the SetWarnings command, set the value to No.

but be forewarned, there's nothing worse than working in a database that has the error messages turned off and accidentally letting your finger slip to that Delete key (I know from my own arrogant experience - i thought i didn't need delete warnings). Try recreating a form, after you spend half a day trying to figure out what form you deleted. I highly suggest just setting the warnings to False for specific instances where you don't want to see the messages, not the entire database.
just my cent and a half... my opinion's not worth two cents.
Brian Famous
bfamous@ncdoi.net
