First of all thanks for reading this..

I have created a VBA script in Excel which culminates
in saving a spreadsheet. However I would like to have
the spreadsheet saved so that it includes it's own
proprietry VBA script.

So in this example, I have saved the worksheet which includes a column full of numbers. I want to create a
messege box upon opening that saved file and a Msgbox
appears indicating the total sum of those numbers.

thanks,
medieval

Hi medieval,

Check out:

There you'll see an explanation of how to programmatically add code to another workbook. I'll leave it to you to work out what that code should be, but you'll probably want to place it in a sub named Auto_Open.

Cheers

Hi macropod,

Thanks for the website. I'll give it a read although it will take a while to digest as I am somewhat new to VBA.
