Hi,

We have a PowerVault 101T DLT1 Drive for DLT IV tapes and a DLT DEC 2000 for DLT III tapes. For the moment we save all our datas on 2 tapes one DLT IV and one DLT III but the DLT DEC 2000 is outdated and we want to save on only DLT IV tapes. I try to save only on DLT IV but the size of all the datas we save is bigger than one tape. But i don't know if all the capacity of our DLT IV is used. Is there a way in arcserve to take the 80 Gb of the tape. Like that we will not have to save on 2 tapes.

Thanx

80gb is what their marketing department says the tape could hold with a good compression ratio. 40gb is the native capacity and what the tape will always hold.

It is all a matter of the compression being obtained and there is not much you can do about that.
