Hi all,

I'm running into this strange problem: the same perl cgi script runs on different solaris servers: one is development, the other is production. Everything is fine on the dev server, errors are received on the production server in a dynamically generated HTML page--strange characters show up and break the HTML page.

Does anyone have an idea of how to tackle this type of problem?

Thanks much in advance,

Is it using a database? I once had the same problem with a database that had some random \ characters in it that would muck stuff up. That could be your problem, they could be accidentally escaping your strings. For more help, you'll need to post more info, maybe even the part that's giving you trouble.

MWB. As always, I hope that helped!
