S8500 multiconnect XE Cabinet- Has anyone successfully done this?

Has anyone successfully migrated from a G3si XE *Mini Refrigerator to an S8500/S8700?
Avaya ATAC claims that this migration is supported.
We replaced the A carrier with the nw upgrade PN. Once we do this, the system comes up fully. The IPSI makes contact, and the pn is up. (dial tone and everyhing)
BUT- The FAN Shelf goes dead.
Anyone ever see this??

Do you have a TN775 in the A carrier?

Yes there is a TN775D , and actually the cabinet is an e2cc
