Will not support cm3

S8300C is new for 4.0
It supports backup to flash
It uses a 4 GB compact flash card along with a hard drive
The file system is split between the hard drive and the flashcard
It uses ramdisk
In 4.1 ramdisk will disappear in preparation for third party
applications that will be on the hard drive.

AvayaTier 3 is correct, you must use an S8300B for CM 3,
as CM 3 does not have the HDD drivers for the new SATA drive used on the S8300C

There should be plenty of S8300B's on the used market, as anyone with an S8730 and CM5, must upgrade to the S8300C to support the "large memory model" which is the only option on the S8730 w/CM5

You will need an S8300B for CM3.1.5. If you can't get ahold of one let me know.

Thanks find it out myself......

But it,s supported to use a 4.x LSP on a 3.x
so i made a 4.x LSP licence and installed 4.x

LSP/ESS are not supported with higher loads than the main.
Temporary situations while the main is waiting on being upgraded is okay.

CAUTION: When you are upgrading the media server as a primary controller, you must check Product Support Notice #739U for the supported upgrade paths. If you attempt to upgrade the media server to a release that is not supported as an upgrade path, you might corrupt the translations.

Also, you must check PSN #739U for compatibility of software loads between the primary controller and any LSPs or ESSs. If the software loads of the primary controller and the LSPs/ESSs are incompatible, then file synchronization betweenthe primary controller and the LSPs/ESSs can cause translation corruption on the
LSPs/ESSs.

To check PSN #739U, from any computer, access Select
Product Support Notices > View All Documents > PSN #739U.
