We just upgraded 6) G700 LSP sites that were running 2.0.1 ...as well as the core site S8300 (after doing all LSP sites) we are now running 2.1.1 this was done to resolve a fax issue ..... now all the sites are having an issue with the Ip Phones saying....receiving ....prior to install of 2.1.1 if we lost connection wih the network they
would just reboot and reset coming back into sevice ...
tried doing the mute ...reset# command ...tried unplugging
phones and reset them .......phones show out-service when status from ASA ......since nothing has been changed on the Network side
most phones do come back into service but after an extended amount of time .....
reset of the phones show thats its grabbing an address
using DHCP ....in between the phone saying registering
you can do a Mute addr# command and see its addressing
ip address (local addr)
server address (S8300 addr)
gateway (local gateway)
netmask (local netmask)
fileserver (address of dhcp scope)
from any phone
mute view#
shows all the SN#
MAc address
model numbers

you can log into the S8300 with the command prompt and ping the phones at the far end ....
there is a NEW option with 2.1.1 in the Maintenance screen

server to hand out any new files / upgrades to ip phones )
