Does anyone know how to get moh to work with an s8300 in a G350? I have looked high and low for an answer but cant find one.

Normally you would just enable it in ch sys fe and change Music/Tone on hold to music....but that option is not available on this configuration.

try uploading .wav music files on the MGP. Then define your music sources.

Thanks for the reply. Pardon my ignorance...but I'm new to this system. I'm an old definity tech, these new servers confuse me. How exactly do you do what you suggested?

You can still use an external music source as well if you have a MM711 analog module in the G350. You may even be able to use the 1 integrated analog trunk port built into the G350, I'm sure someone on here can confirm.

Thanks for all the responses.

I have the external music source plugged into an analog port on the mm714 analog card (I tried it on the integrated port as well). The big stumbling block is the option on the change systems-paramerters features to select the music source is not available.

But you found it on the "change music-sources" page? The go to "change tenant x" where x is your tenant partion number (probably 1) to tell it what source to use.

on the change music source page do you have the correct port entered and for type do you have music?

Thanks again for all your input.

I have Type: music and Source type: Port 001V502 (second port on the MM714 analog module).

I put my buttset on the rj11 plug and hear music...so I know music is being fed.

Unfortunately the Avaya docs only address a S8300 in a G700, not the G350. In the doc it instructs you to change the field I mentioned earlier on the change system-parameter features…like I have done for years on the older Definity systems. As I mentioned earlier, this option is not available on this system.

Have you tried what I suggested by going to "change tenant x"?
