I have successfully backed up the S8300 via ftp previous to 3.0, but can't with 3.0. the tar.gz file that is the backup file doesn't appear in the /var/home/pub/ftp directory, and i can't find it anywhere. all the default directories are the same in the windows as they were for 2.2, but no files are in the directories. i can't even see the patch in the /var/home/pub/ftp directory, even thou it's activated. can anyone help me out with this?

yes, i updated the server to latest. Avaya tech support said the tar.gz file wouldn't be on the server, it's created on the ftp server. my ftp server log says it created the file, but the S8300 says it couldn't find the file or the syntax was bad. thanks

Look at the maintenance web interface>firewall and verify that FTP is enabled.
