can anyone let me know how you log on to the server via modem and IP. I have not had any training on this switch yet, but need to do some changes, the reseller has not been much help to me yet.
Also setting for ASA for modems and IP would be helpful.
Thanks

What HW&SW ver are you running?

Usually ASA lights up a telnet connection to a special port. Your going to need to know what IP and what port to connect to, and obviously login information. My port number was 5023. Once you get the IP, you could probably nmap it to find the open ports.

Good luck

1. you must have a login id using remote login
this id is created by dadmin and it's type is remote
2. you can create a ppp connect over modem(include the number of line connected in modem)
3. you must get the ip address of s8700 server, and you can access in use ASA (port is 5023)
