Hello,

Does anyone know how to remove the standard "Menu Bar" on a Runtime Application? I would like to create a runtime application that does not have any menu bars and shows nothing but the forms and reports. In my forms I have created command buttons that would be on the standard menu bar.

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Kat,

Go to:
Tools:Startup
Uncheck the "Allow full menus"

If you don't want them to right click to bring up that menu, uncheck the "Shortcut menu's" checkbox

If you don't want them to be able to hit things like F11 to get to the database window uncheck special access keys

Note that once you do this, by default, when you open the database, all menus are turned off. This is a pain when you're designing. To get around this, hold down "Shift" when you open your database, and it will bypass all startup options (including autoexec macros, if you use them) and open with full menus, straight to the database window. (For some reason, Microsoft kept the whole "shift" key thing hidden pretty well...confused me for a while!)

Good luck!

Hi,

Create and save an empty Macro.

Specify this Macro in Startup / Menu Bar
