Runtime Error

I am using Quicktimeplayer. I am constantly getting the following message:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

X Runtime Error!

Program: C:\Program Files\QuickTime\QuckTime Player.exe

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.

Can you please clue me in to what's going on? I am using Qucktime for a tutorial and it's frustrating to be cut off when attempting to learn from the tutorial.
