running total

I need to summarize a formula but only the values that I see on the report after many conditions. Now it summarizes all the values.

If you right click on the value in the details section and click insert summary or insert grand total, you should be fine.

Dumb question but when you say "the values I see" what do you mean? I assume you are seeing values because you used a record selection formula to filter out the ones you don't want and you didn't do anything funky like conditionally suppressing those records instead?

If you conditionally suppress records they will STILL evaluate in any sub or grand totals Software Support for Sage Mas90, Macola, Crystal Reports, Goldmine and MS Office

Megias-

You need to enter a record or group selection formula to select only those records you want. Suppression of records will result in bad results of sub and grand totaling unless you use Ken's suggestion above or you can re-read my answer to your post in the Crystal Decisions-Info Forum.
