I do website development, so I usually have various browsers & applications open for me to switch between to test out stuff on. Unfortunately with ME, I at least 5-10 times a day, get low on system resources. I have 192 megs of RAM, but I know that's not what matters here. I open & close & reopen, Netscape & IE numerous times within a few hours. I'm assuming that there is a memory leak in the browsers that is sucking my laptop dry of resources. I have my laptop set as server, & not desktop, but that didn't help any. Does anybody know of any tips, tricks, or programs that can help me out in this matter? Thanx yall.

Hey man,
Whew, took me a while to find it but here it is. This was an issue that I read before so I thought you should know too. Here's the link, have fun!!

I have an AMD 850Mhz with 256Mb RAM running Windows Me and it sent me nuts freezing every 5 minutes despite using hardly any heavy weight memory gobbling programs. I have disabled System Restore and specified my own virtual memory settings to minimum of 500 to maximum of 4994 on a 4994Mb partition. Not sure if just one or both was/were the cure but I have no problems now?!

Try this too.

Go to regedit
Go to the following key
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AlwaysUnloadDLL]

and make sure the value is set to 1. This forces WMe to unload all the DLL files held in memory when you close an application.

It worked for me

Cheers
