Hello ALL
Is there a way to run downloaded programs from a disc rather than from the hard drive to free uo space?
I am running windows XP Pro on both Pc and Laptop.

Well since Apps usually install files not only in the Program Files folder, but in the windows folder, as well as making changes to the registry, I'd say probably not. Add to that you would need to have the App install itself to a CD. Which unless you make the CD writable, then it won't be able to.
I'd say you might be able to get apps to run from a USB flash drive, by pointing their installations to the drive. They'll still make the registry modifications on the hard drive, as well as maybe add a few files to whatever other location they might do so, but the bulk of the application's files should be installed on the USB flash drive.
