OK, Here is the setup i would like to accomplish but after thinking about it I do not think it is feasible. I thought i would post here before i give up on the idea.
I am currently running Exchange 2000 as my email server for all of my employees. I have about 100 employees who never work in the office and do not take advantage of any Exchange features so i have decided to avoid licensing costs for the remote users that i would set up a second mail server for the remote users. After removing their account info off of the exchange server and adding it to my nex box they are able to send and recieve internet email fine. The problem that i am having now is that when i go to send email locally through my exchange server to a user that has been added to the new box i am getting a NDR saying that person does not exist at this organization. Is there any way that i can tell the exchange server that if does not find a user within my email domain on the exchange server to forward it to the internet?
