Running CDE

I'm connecting to Solaris 8 using xVNC. On one server I get a CDE desktop, but on the others I don't, although xapps run fine. What setup steps do I have to take to enable CDE?

does /etc/rc3.d/S99dtlogin exist? afaik this file starts CDE...
