Running all .html like php3 will be slow?

I think the effect will be small, actually, because PHP will simply check a file for <?php tags and ignore the file if it doesn't contain them. It hasn't seemed to make much difference on one of our production servers.<br><br>If you are really worried about performance, use PHP4rc2 with the Zend Optimizer, because it pre-parses and optimizes your files before delivery.
