Running a VFP7 program from VFP5

If you mean a prg, then maybe, as long as no syntax added since 5 was used. You'd need the prg and compile it from 5.

If you mean an exe, if you include the runtime files, then you shouldn't need any VFP at all.

And if you mean an EXE, make sure you've compiled it in VFP 5. The EXE knows what version of the runtimes it's looking for, and if you compile it in VFP 7, it will look for the VFP 7 runtime files.

No, like baltman said, if you haven't used any VFP 7 specific funtions or sytax, the .prg will run fine. Compatability is the key.

I am running VFP7 specific functions.

Then you have a couple choices.
Run them with VFP 7, or create your own UDFs to emulate the VFP 7 functions in VFP 5.
