I have created a compiled html help file which i like to include in my application. i tried to use the run command to execute the .chm file but receive an error message that he file could not be located. Any suggestions to solve this problem. Your help is much appreciated.

I can offer no specific solution, but it's always difficult to mix and match features from multi-generational software.

FPW 2.6 is a 16-bit application and Compiled HTML files are strictly accessed only in the 32-bit world. There are many questions posted on how to get CHM files working well with VFP which was "designed" to use them. I wish you luck.

never tried it with .chm files but in the past i've created a VB .exe to hyperlink to an html file.

e.g. the executable is called hyper.exe so from foxpro I..
run /n7 hyper.exe c:\temp\webpage.htm

the VB code for hyper.exe was lifted from MSDN - it launches the registered application for the file type with the filename as a parameter.

.... if there's any interest I can post it to FAQs ?

Dear nigel

do you have a copy of this hyper.exe file? if so, kindly pass it to me to try it out. TQ.
