Somehow users on my computer running xp pro have lost the "runas" option when you right-click on a shortcut or anything else. This used to function but no longer does. I have checked Secondary Login service and it is running. I have two users and they are members of the power users group. If I log in to the administrator account, runas is there which makes me think that it must be a permission setting somewhere. I am really lost on this one.

I should clarify that the list I produced was in answer to whether running a repair installation would cause any problems it was not meant as a fix for this RunAs problem, just a demonstration where repairing windows stands in the list of things that may help fixing a general problem (although SFC /Scannow might help).
Usernames for members of the Administrative Group need to have a password for RunAs to function. They don't need it for it to be listed in the Context Menu, however. Any other Users do not need a password of their own to use the RunAs Command, they only need to know the Administrator's password or any other password of any Limited user they wish to RunAs (again the username they wish to RunAs must have a password in this instance).
This in no way distracts from "Bcasnter" point, all users should be given passwords, even if it is only done for Security reasons.

linney & bcastner - ok so I gave everyone a password. Voilla, one user has runas, one user nada. So I went into safe mode and the user that does not have runas does not appear! I went to users and it is not even listed there either. I think at this point the easiest way out is create a new user (which I have) and then work on transferring everything document-wise from My documents to the new user. If this seems logical, please let me know. If this will work, then the very last thing I guess I need to know is can I delete the old user completely when I have salvaged all that is worth saving from My Documents and any other things under the old user? How can I do this?

Limited Users are not shown in Safe Mode if you use the Welcome Screen. You may be able to access them from the Classic Login box (Ctrl+Alt+Del), but you may have to type the Limited Username in there as only Administrator names may appear in any drop down logon list while in Safe Mode.
I haven't done this in Safe Mode for a while but if you have the Welcome Screen type of Login box, play around with Ctrl+Alt+Del and see if you can bring up the other type of Login, then try typing in a Limited User name and password.
