Hello
Is there a command line to start the run window please. Unfortunatly the run window has been locked down and to save me navigating through using the command line I would like to use the run window (changing or halting the policy is not an option)
Many Thanks

This really is something that should be taken up with whoever sets computer policy. Is there any reason it can not be fixed through proper channels?

Thanks for the quick reply Linney, unfortnatly we support call centre users who have there machines locked down for security perposes, but to troubleshoot is a nightmare and they will not change or halt the policy. MAinly we need the run window to run outlook.exe /safe or items of that nature nothing sinister but very time consuming when you have to navigate to the outlook directory to run a simple command.
Thought there may be a cmd to start the run window

I suppose the Command Prompt is locked down too, otherwise something like this might work for Outlook?

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11\OUTLOOK.EXE" /safe, or whatever switch you use.

Remove Run menu from Start Menu.

Requirements: At least Microsoft Windows 2000
Location: User Configuration\Start Menu and Taskbar\

Description:
Allows you to remove the Run command from the Start menu, Internet Explorer, and Task Manager.

Note

This setting affects the specified interface only. It does not prevent users from using other methods to run programs.
