Run Time Exception Code

On some W2000 clients I get a FATAL run time exception code of C0000094 when I execute a BROWSE command. The dialog box dumps the call stack and that how I know where the error occurs. This error override amy on error routine I have in my code. I can find no reference to this error or any reason that I get it on some clients and not on others. This code run fine on non W2000 clients.

Any ideas?

Well, exception C0000094 is a Divide by Zero error...and the fact that you're getting a Fatal Error indicates that it's FoxPro itself that's crashing with the error. Someone more experienced could probably give you better advice, but I'd suggest making sure you have the latest service packs for both Win2k and VFP. Personally, I'm running Win2k with SP1 and VFP with SP5.

I am hearing this in VFP now. I used to hear about this in FoxPro2.6. And there is a patch for that. Will be interested to know if it is in VFP as well and the solution for it. ramani :-9

Any time I see a divide by zero error that only shows up on some machines, I start looking for a HP Printer Driver. They are notorious for setting the divide by zero error flag in the processor and not setting it back. I believe that VFP SP4 was patched to work around this error. (Basically by resetting the flag alot.) If you have not upgraded to the latest SP for VFP I would suggest trying that first. You might also try downgrading the HP Driver (if there is one) to the HP4 driver which seems to have avoided this problem.

Which Service Pack of VFP are you using. I recall getting that error with VFP6 occasionally before installing service packs.
