Hi,
I've been tasked with making a system to track the lates/absent records of the people around here. After a a few months, I finished a working beta version.

So, when I go and install it on the computer it needs to run from, boom. Error time.

Run-time error '429'
ActiveX component can't create object

I'm using a fairly basic form. Mostly text boxes, buttons, lables, a list box and one common dlg box. I already installed the OCX for common dlg. I also ran the VB6 run-time component installer that's supposed to allow VB6-made applications to run on computers w/out VB6.

I thought it might be a registry problem, but I don't know.

Anyone know how to fix this?

You are missing a .dll or .ocx file that your program references. I suggest that you use the Package and Deployment wizard to create a setup file and then run the setup file to install your program on target computers.

Thye P&D wizard will automatically include all files that your program needs and properly registers them on the target computer. Thanks and Good Luck!
