Whenever I open a folder on my computer, I get a runtime error 13, type mismatch. The folder still opens after I click the ok button. Does anyone know what's wrong?

Type Mismatch errors occur when a process is expecting data in one format, say a date, but recieves the data in a different format, say a currency.

There are various reasons this might occur when opening folders. First check your Regional Settings. Start > Settings > Contol Panel > Regional & Language Settings.

Make sure the Date and Time format look correct, i.e Date dd/MM/yy or dd/MM/yyyy : Time HH:MM:SS

Also check the language is set to your language. Also check that the system date and time is correct.
