Run Now backup job doesn't run now - it queues

in backup exec 9.1 I create a new backup job and use the "Run Now" feature, it first says its running, then it queues and doesn't try to run (I waited almost 30 min's) there were jobs scheduled for that evening and I checked the PC clock and they were correct. This is pretty frustrating.

Windows 2000 server with auto-library.

I have a older version of BE, but when I've had this happen in the past, it's been because the device was paused. Take a look under the "Devices" tab, right click the device and make sure it is not paused.

I figured it out, all my tapes had an infinite expiration date - it wouldn't allow overwrite, I have them set for 3 week expiration - I don't know why they had them set that way but it works now.

I wish BackupExec had a little better error codes to let you know why the jobs won't run.
