Run macro if field is null

I am trying to write a macro that runs another macro based on a field being null. I cannot figure out how to check for an empty field. IsBlank does not work.

My Formula:
(LICENSE.LicenseSta = 'Canc') and (LICENSE.LicenseCan ='' )

Please help!!!

What type of field is your LICENSE.LicenseCan ?? If it is boolean, you can test it for 'yes' or 'no' but I do not believe it has an "empty" property.

Thanks for replying. License.LicenseCan is a date field.

I just tested this in a macro run command, and you can compare a date field this way:

datefieldname = ''

where the '' is two single quotes with no space between them.

In my testing, IsBlank(datefieldname) also works correctly. I am using Approach 9.7.
