might sound dumb, but as an administrator how do i use the 'Run' command to browse a workstation drive on another (trusted) NT domain?

i can browse locally using Start/Run and typing \\machinename\drivename$ but i'm blowed if i can remember how to change this syntax to connect to a device on another domain.

cheers for any help.

I would say if it is a trusted domain you should be able to issue the exact same command \\machinename\drivename$ if you can resolve the hostname. if it is not trusted and you can resolve the hostname then you must first gain access to the box buy:

net use \\machinename\drivename$ /u:machinename\localadminuser localadminpassword

If you can not resolve the hostname, and I mean reslove buy doing a nslookup machinename from the command prompt, then you must gain access to the machine via ipaddress mush the same:
net use \\IPAddress\drivename$ /u:IPAddress\localadminuser localadminpassword
