I am running Win XP Pro on a dell laptop. I have not set the user accounts neither has anyone had access to my computer.
There are no users other than myself.
I left my computer on, came back an hour later, tried to access the internet and I get a window RUN AS which I have to choose to run as (pgraham)Admin or I can choose from a drop down window at the bottow of the box. It only gives the option of admin in the drop down box plus type in a password. I haven't set a password so I have no idea what is causing this.
I can not access the folders on the c drive either. It tell me I do not have access.
This is my work laptop and now I can not access my work folders or any other folder.
I have not installed anything.
The only change since an hour ago is I ran norton's Windoc. Which I have done numerous times in the past.
How can I disable this so I can once again get to my work files and work email on outlook.
Thanks

Do you have a firewall installed and active?

Since the Administrator account is still there, reboot and logon as your default administrator account.

If you are on a broadband connection, it is possible someone used a backdoor trojan to reset your security settings.
