run an .exe as a service

i have a batch file that i want to run as a service on some xp pc's

i assume it's easier to convert to an exe first
but how can i get this to run as a service

If you search the web you should be able to find Firedaemon Lite 1.6 GA, which is free for one service installation.

got the resource back down but cant install it here as the only ms i have at home is 2000

The Win2k versions can be found here:

You can use them under XP.
