Hello all, just like to quickly say thanks to all of you sharing your knowledge.

We currently have a BP, that I believe is ripping us off. I was wondering if someone could tell me the current avg. cost per RTU?

And if any one had a list of Avaya Buisness Partner's in MI.

I believe NPL is around $265.00USD... I would think you would be getting them for 30% less maybe?

Thanks,
CJH

Is there anywhere I can print out that list?

And are you saying that BP normally offer a discount of around 30%?

The discount factor is measured per Business Partner and what they extend to the customer...

If your a government agency, this might be helpful...

Otherwise I'm not sure where to find a NPL. I pulled it from a quote that supplied to me by my BP.

Thanks,
CJH

I just went through this same thing and found my RTU's cheaper through another partner. Look around and get quotes for several partners before you buy. You will save your company money.

Your price may depend on your switch release. Here is a list for CM3.....

It is going to greatly depend on what you are wanting to use, if you already have it and just want to add more and how many, or if it is going from one software version to the next.

What are you looking at buying mentallimit?

I believe I am Release 2.2.

I am looking at the invoices where we buy new phones and see a charge for RTU. But when I look at our switch we are WAY under our allowable ports.

Just wondering timmaher2...on the list you provided...there are two prices. What does each one represent? Is the first one the National prise listing and the 2nd the cost charged to customer?

Here is the header off the price list. This should help lay it out for you.

You shouldn't need to purchase an RTU every time you purchase a telephone....

some BP's wrap the RTU cost into the purchase of the phone, this way you don't have to go back to the well later and get money to pay for the RTU when you your station records hit their capacity. it's just priced as a whole package.

Give me your specific release and whether you are standalone or Enterprise and I'll chase down a reasonable price for you.

Just wondering if someone could tell me a way to look and see how many RTU I have, verses how many I am using?

If my BP automatically wrapped up an RTU license into a telephone purchase, they would no longer be my BP. In fact, I find it surprising that they would do this.

The command would be "disp sys cust" or display
system-parameters customer options.

Ok, so I have 1000 max ports and 750 used. So I should not have to pay for another RTU until those 250 are all used up?

On that one item, yes.

Are trunk ports and Station ports RTU wrapped up together? Sorry for beating an almost dead horse. I just want to be prepared when talking to my BP.

I see when I add a station the used ports goes up and down when I delete it. But it looks like under ASA "System Capicity" both trunks and station ports are added up to equal my Total Subscribed Ports.

Sorry again if this seems like the same question repeated...just want ot be sure.
