Hi All,

Newbie qs. I'm getting an error, see below, when I attempt to rsync -a -e ssh to another box. I'm on Solaris 8.

rsync -a -e ssh /test/original testuser@desination: /home/backup

The error is : ld.so.1: rsync: fatal: libpopt.so.0: open failed: No suck file or directory

TIA

dynamic linker (ld) cannot find the shared library, mamybe LD_LIBRARY_PATH does not point to it's directory or access right's deny an access, or somebody removed the file?

run 'ldd `which rsync`' to see which libraries ld will link dynamically to the executable...

Best Regards, Franz
