Does anyone one know of the maximum speed on the RS-232 DTE and DCE serial cables. I have two 2500 series routers connected back to back with the DCE side clock rate at 148000. Anything over that, the line goes down. Is 148000 the maximum speed for that cable or do i just have to mess with the config some more to allow faster speeds through the cables?

i am surprised that you got 148000 to work, usually to be safe i use 115000. if i go over that, it will tend to flap. i remember it seemed like it would flap maybe every 4 hours or so when using 128000 clockrate. as for the exact max. here is a good short article.
