I am a recent graduate of a local tech school. I would now like to code and compile RPG programs on my home PC. At the school, the PCs were rigged with what they called a "dongle", but their source for these is no longer available. I have had no luck finding them, even IBM does not know what I am talking about. Does anyone know where I can find one and how much are they?
thanks

There are several RPG PC compilers out their. I've used one from a company called LATTICE in the Chicago area. I don't know if they are still in business. As I recall the compiler was several hundred dollars including the dongle. An extra one cost another fifty dollars.

You can get free iSeries access from Just click on the "AS/400 Timeshare Services" link.

No I don't own it, I am a member though.
