rpc over http losing connection after a few seconds

I am currently configuring an Exchange 2003 sp1 on a Windows 2003 server. The Global catalogs are on seperate 2003 servers. I configured the exchange server for the dmz and set the dmz for ports 25, 80 and 443. I configured the exchange server for rpc-over-http and I can get it to connect. However, after about 30 seconds (give or take a few seconds) it looses connection and never re-estabilishes until I restart outlook.

Anyone have any idea why outlook would lose connection? The logs in the dmz show nothing and there is nothing in the exchnage event viewer.

Is this relevant (ref your using 443)?

Do a CTRL+F for 'loses the connection'

Paul,

I have the system up and running, and the only Loses the connection reference in the link above is because of the certificate. The cert is good and installed on the client machine. However, still losing connection after about 30 seconds.
