Can you have dynamic routing with a fire wall were if you can not get out to the internet the pix will update the routing table say that the firewall is unreachable?

You can with PIX OS7.
It is not robust by any sense of the word. I can't wait until the actually add fully redundant/load balancing links to the OS. Here's hoping for PIX OS8.
