first off you really got some things off your chest sounds like photon33! and what the hell is IMHO NEVER HEARD THAT! Everybody posted their thoughts about target lines so far and why does a Nortel System (Norstar-BCM) make you use them but on avaya, nec, systems don't have to use target lines just match ext's to did's and they work right. I ownly work on Nortel Systems so i couldn't tell you about the others.I do know from being in the business for 15yrs. that when I found out about the Norstar's and I got to working on the Option PBX's and now BCM's & CS1000 systems I just fell in love with the product, I mean love is a strong word but I really enjoy working on the equipment from programming, installations, training, i mean everything and I tell you those Norstar's will run forever and ever they are a very durible key system. We all know that we didn't pick the easiest product to work on being Nortel but Nortel is the Leader WorldWide and everyting but it was never the user or tech. friendly system but that really didn't care to me I got trained and installed over 3,000 Nortel Systems since I've been in business and everthing is going great and also just like DigitelD and I'm sure many others worked on other systems and would pick Nortel everytime now after they had their experience working on junk, but I'm going to add a couple more systems that I would rather have a Nortel over anyday of the week. LET'START SORRY TO THE FOLLOWING/NO I'M REALLY NOT avaya,nec,toshiba,3com,siemens,lucent,rolm,esi,panasonic,vodavi,comdial,at&t,intertel,ect. I'm pro Nortel and Proud Of It.I would say 90% of you feel just like me and the other 10% or so are boneheads that found the site somehow that just need some Nortel question answered asap.We are in a BCM FORUM RIGHT NOW CORRECT A FORUM FULL OF NORTEL TECHS
SO TAKE ALL THAT AVAYA,NEC,ECT. WHATEVER OVER TO THAT FORUM IF THEY EVEN HAVE ONE.....IM ON A ROLL TONIGHT
