compare your att and 2250 data, one of those will hold the que. i don't even know what that operators here see. if i ask they may want it changed and i don't need that on a friday.. i worked vegas for 5 years back in the late 70's. was there when the mgm burned and the dunes was adding new towers. john lawerance put the phones in for the dunes and i worked on the new install for the barbery coast. it was a small 3 story at the time... my last trip out there was a shock.. i knew how much it had grown but it is nothing like the town of 100K it was back then... used to rockhound in redrock cannon (opal's) and found low grade turquoise out by lake mead... have a good weekend... btw i worked on the 1st t1 route between henderson and vegas, back when we used 17 transmit and 17 rec pairs plus 2 for maint and had a carrier to install every 5000 feet.. and no i don't miss those days.. i miss the ladies, but the love of my life more them makes up for that..

A few items of note:

Definations: H means the call is originating from another PBX. 0 is the attendet DN. A name can be assigned to 0 in CPND LD 95.

In the RCAP of each PBX's DCH ND3 is defined. ND2 is a more comman name display protocal.

In the 61c route PNI is 00000. In LD 15 NET in both PBX's define PNI 00001 and assign 00001 to each route.

The prompt for PNI isn't appearing in the 11C route. This may mean that the 11C in not software equipped to support MCDN - Merdian Customer Defined Network. PRT and post the software packages for review - ld 22 prt, pkg.

In the 11C DCH RAP add MSDL as a MSDL card is supporting the DCH on the 61C.

These items will get you started but there may be more that needs to be programmed to support CPND accross the PBXs.

Once you get CPND working between PBXs your next challenge will be the "H0" display on calls originating from the other PBX. For example, let's assume that the name of Sally Jane is assigned to 0 at the 11C site, on calls from the 11C console to a 61C telephone the CPND will display as:

Sally Jane
H0

which is even funnier yet, but bothers most reception gals.

The cure here is to change the ATT DN in LD 15 to another number, for example x2050, with the CPND name of Sally Jane. Than build an ACD QUE of 0 with NCFW: 2050 so callers at the 11C site can still reach the console by dialing 0 but calls originating from the console to the 61C will now display:

Sally Jane
H2050

Lastly, looking over your posted PBX programming there are other house cleaning items at should be addressed such as Truck Route Optimization, Anti-Truck Tromboning, and call redirect messaging. But that's another matter.

Having both PBXs equiped and configured to support MCDN will also address the issue of PSTN/CLID on calls routing through the 11C on to the 61C.

Thanks for your valuable post - I'm looking into make some changes tonight .
This use to work until I had a problem with the TTY ports \
Had to INI opt11 - after that INI it stopped working -
This is a strange opt 11 - I've it do things no other meridian does . maybe the strange release 22?
I will post results Monday Morning .
Thanks Again
Josie

I personally liked John's walk down memory lane. John is the top poster on this Forum and you should hope john didn't take offence as he might not help you the next time. Don't bite the hand that feeds you. "Oh" by the way if you don't like my post you don't need to read it.

No one is questioning John’s value to this forum. His knowledge and wisdom are certainly appreciated by many members. I for one am keenly interested in learning more about the scripting options of ProComm and the use of Excel for system administration based solely on John’s postings - to name just one of several areas of John’s expertise.

And if John Poole is that blend of southern gentlemen/working man that I suspect he is not only can he accept honest, straight forward criticism, he doesn’t take kindly to others issuing threats in his name. The man can speak for himself if he so chooses. As for you “ace” there was absolutely no need - nor is there any excuse - for you to place such an absurd posting as you have here in this thread.

no problem westside, i answered the question in the 1st reply, i even did a quick test with my 11, sent 7 digits from my 81.. and just lkie my old memory, it works just like i said, but don't worry i will not bore you by answering to any more of your post...btw, on friday i tend to take a little extra time

Josie,

In your RDB under ISDN I think you need NCNA (network name allowed) to be YES. Also, I think NCRD (network call redirect) should also be YES.

I notice your letting John speak for himself also and I think your reply was absurd. Just my 2 cents.

Jose,

I see that the 11C does not have Package 148 NTWK. I suspect this will stop you form defining the PNI and in turn means that MCDN can not be supported between the two PBXs. But I'm not sure.

MCDN is needed to support CPND. But you say it worked at one time?

Implement tech32001's of recommenation of yes to NCNA and NCRD on both PBXs.

outed - the Route in opt 11 and re-created with NCDA and NCRD yes - It worked -
I called my phone on opt 11 and TRN to my opt 61 set
My name and number came up .

If you never had a very bad day - Then you would have understand my post to John .
It will not happen again .

Thanks for all of help

Ace - Ya I was a little out there with that posting. It seems like all we are going to achieve with our little debate is to make ourselves look like fools and to bother the natives. Kinda like two politicians running for public office.

Josie - Glad to see you got things working. And it was not as complication as I made it out to be. All my items should fall under recommended-best-practices. Good to implement but not necessarily needed.
