I have windows 2003 server enterprise...
In my network i have only real IPs... how i can share Internet and route the real IPs from network on the same time ?

Do you mean a Network Address Translation? So when you clients try to view the net the website are getting your external IP address show to it?

Wow my grammar is bad. Let me rephase:

no NAT....
I want any user to have his own IP... Not Server IP....

Can Help me someone ?

Sorry, I don't think I'm understanding you correctly.

You want to send out your internal IP to the web?!

Hm, I don't think this can be done on the basis that if you are telling the webserver that my IP is 192.168.100.211 then the webserver will try to reply back to that IP. Also the IANA does not allow assigned Private IP's onto the net for this very reason.

No.....
I have public ip-s for my network 82.77.108.66-82.77.108.126

How i can make them visible on the net ????
Are real IP addresses !!!!!

I presume the IP's are static. If so, then your IP's should be visible from the moment you connect up to the net.

I'm pretty confused as to what your trying to accomplish. What is the problem? Do you have a firewall on your network?

P.S I wouldn't recommend advertising your IP's on the forum for security reasons.

Ok... I have static IP addresses...
what i must to do from the moment i install windows 2003...
I must accomplish Internet Sharing Connection and make IP's visible from the Internet... I think i make a mistake somewhere... I want to know step by step configuration...

Please help me....

Ok. I understand what you're trying to do here. But im trying to think of the bast way to do it. I'm not sure whether this would work, but you could be able to bridge the connections together (including the internet NIC) and work from there. How is your network set up? Is your server acting as a router? How many NIC's does it have? You need to explain your situation a bit more.

Thanks,
Oliver

With two NICs you can enable RRAS and run the config wizard. They will run it all through with you. You just have to select what NIC you want to have for your internal LAN and what NIC will be connected to the LAN side of your modem.
If the modem is internal then you should be able to select that.
Windows will do the rest for you!

Good Luck,

Steve.

my configuration is :

Internet Nework Adapter
Ip xxx.xxx.xxx.242
Gateway xxx.xxx.xxx.241
NetMask 255.55.255.192
DNS yyy.yyy.yyy.147
\/

\/
Server
\/
\/
\/
Internal Network Adapter
61 Computers zzz.zzz.zzz.66-zzz.zzz.zzz.127
NetMask 255.255.255.192

How can I share network connection and make computer IPs used from my internal network ?

Directly routing your IP's to the net is not recommended. Why? security. Your network would be wide open! You would have to install a firewall application on every pc that has a public IP.

I strongly suggest using true NAT, and translate each internal IP to it's corresponding public IP. This way you can also firewall all your IP's and control traffic.
example:
82.77.108.66 -> 192.168.10.50
82.77.108.67 -> 192.168.10.51

and so on...

Internet connection sharing is a very bad way to do this because internet connection sharing is meant for NAT-Overload (1 to many IP's).

True NAT can translate seperate internal IP's to seperate public IP's.

I also advise using a proper NAT router (hardware) for this task. I am not sure if windows server can bind 60 IP addresses to the LAN adapter that is connected to internet, which is what you would have to do to get this working.

Proper NAT routers can do this though, they are meant for this task and can properly secure your network.

In any case your setup will need some investment in good hardware to make sure your computers don't get hacked within 2 minutes.

Using real IP address's on the net? what the heck this isn't 1986!

Never never never open your network to the net like that, I assume ur new to this game or you wouldn't even have thought of it.

Share connection is a simple way or use a router like Netscreen etc etc or u will spend all day sorting out virus spam popups etc etc etc

Got to say 2003 share connection is great cos you can lock users access to the net to what u want, else if there all open then god only knows what could happen.

well thats my thoughts on the subject

I'm more curious as to why your ISP isn't providing you assistance. With a block of 64 static addresses you would be considered to be a large business interest to them and I have to believe they would be providing some kind of setup/installation assistance to you.
