2 x Cisco 2600 router, Version 12.3(13) - HSRP configured
Server in DMZ with a static NAT to a public ip.
Periodically the router will stop NATing outbound traffic from this server. Clearing the NAT translations doesn't work. When the router is failed over to the other router in the HRSP config, the NATing works. When the original router that was causing the problem was reloaded and was made the active HRSP router, the NATing also worked.
It appears the server is causing the problem possibly due to a faulty nic or corrupt tcp/ip stack, but ultimately the router is the device hanging onto the bad connection/NAT transaltions.
Anyone have any ideas what would cause the router to do this?
